Coffee is a popular drink for millions of people in countries that span the globe. For many, a morning without at least one cup of coffee is simply unheard of. In the last ten years, Starbucks has grown to be one of the largest coffee chains ever conceived and it regularly charges anywhere from one dollar to well over five dollars for a cup of coffee. Before its popularity, most people would cringe at the thought. Now they line up for the opportunity to do so. This type of loyal, almost rabid following has some wondering if coffee is, in fact addicting.
Coffee has, no matter what form it is prepared in, a rich and full taste that is distinctive to the coffee bean. Even chocolate cannot compare to the Earthiness and trustworthy flavor that coffee gives when its essence is released in hot water. While this can account for some of its immense popularity, the truth is that there is a chemical dependence that some people may find themselves drawn to in coffee day after day.
Physicians and researchers agree that moderation is key with coffee. All in all, limiting yourself to a cup or two per day isn’t going to have any adverse health effects. However, there are some people that constantly have to have coffee in their hand. If you have found that you are becoming one of the latter, you may want to start limiting your coffee intake little by little each day until you are back down to a normal coffee-drinking routine.

Stained Teeth 
You’ve seen it before; usually in older people. Their teeth are dark yellow and even brown from years of being scorched by hot coffee. Cigarette smoke stained teeth are not even as bad, but if you combine the two then you are really in trouble. Over-the-counter teeth whiteners as well as dentist-performed teeth whitening procedures can help, but limiting your coffee intake will do wonders for your smile in the long run.
Coffee breath.
There is possibly nothing worse than smelling coffee breath on someone. To ensure that you don’t become a culprit with coffee breath, chew a mint or some gum after your morning coffee or better yet, brush your teeth.
Elevated stress levels.
Too much intake of any kind of caffeine can be bad for you. Caffeine can raise anxiety levels so much so that it can lead a person to be constantly over-stimulated and overly-stressed out, which can also lead to elevated blood pressure levels.
It can raise the risk of a heart attack.
While science is still somewhat out on this, it shouldn't be much of a surprise. If it elevates the heart and blood pressure, too much of it can't be a good thing.

Believe it or not, coffee can have an adverse effect on men’s ability to properly manufacture functional sperm, effectively lowering sperm counts.

Caffeine irritates the soft lining of the stomach, esophagus, and other fragile digestive parts. The raised temperature of the liquid only serves to cause further damage as well.
